HER JOURNEY AS AN AUTHOR

Research Based Work

Since 2012, Anita has dedicated herself to the in-depth study of Indian culture, art, heritage, and their influence in Indian society as well as Southeast Asia. Her scholarly work has been widely recognized and published in numerous prestigious research journals, popular magazines, and newspapers across India, Thailand, and Bali. Her research papers are highly regarded and discussed by eminent institutions in both India and Thailand.

In 2018, Anita published her first bilingual book, “Patachitra of Odisha and Jagannath Culture,” marking a significant contribution to the documentation and preservation of Indian traditional art. Her ongoing commitment to this field is reflected in her numerous presentations, talks, exhibitions, and workshops aimed at promoting this unique art form and supporting artisans. She has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as the Kolkata Creative Center, Kala Choupal in Delhi, and the Siam Society Royal Patronage in Bangkok. This book was revised and penned with more information and republished in a new format in 2023. 

Anita’s second bilingual book, “Ramayana Footprints In South-East Asian Culture and Heritage” (covering Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam), was published in 2019. This book showcases her extensive research on the enduring influence of the Ramayana in contemporary Southeast Asian life. In recognition of her scholarly contributions, she was awarded by Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The book’s new edition, published in 2022, includes enriched content with additional research on Vietnam.

In 2020, Anita published her third book, “Saptapadi & Other Stories,” as a Kindle version. By October 2021, it was released in hardcover, available in both Bengali and English. This collection of seven short stories highlights the timeless Vedic Indian customs and relationships.

She has also edited several significant writing works:

  • A Thai book on Swami Vivekananda (2015).
  • Global Encyclopedia of the Ramayana Curtain Raiser Volume 1, published by Ayodhya Research Institute, Uttar Pradesh Ministry of Culture (2021)
  • Bangabhumite Ramayan Charcha,” published by Vivekananda Kendra, Paschim Banga Sakha (2022).

She has contributed as a co-author to the following books-
