Her Spiritual Journey and Devotion
Anita Bose is a devout follower of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and principles. In 2019, Akna Sarada Ramakrishna Pathachakra (ASRP) was established in Akna, Hooghly district, West Bengal, at the country home of the Bose Family. Mr. Pratap Basu and Mrs. Anita Basu supported the founding. Blessed by revered monks of the Ramakrishna Mission, ASRP started as a spiritual study circle.
During the foundation ceremony, a branch from a mango tree planted by Sri Ramakrishna at Kamarpukur was planted in their garden by Swami Vibhatmananda Ji Maharaj and Swami Biswabandhu Maharaj. The study circle held meetings for local men and women, featuring readings from Ramakrishna-Vivekananda literature, following its philosophy and teachings, bhajans, and discourses by monks.
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 necessitated a shift to online sessions, expanding ASRP’s reach to the global level. Monks from Ramakrishna Order centers worldwide, including New York, Chicago, Durban, Dublin, Dinajpur (Bangladesh), and various Indian centers, conducted special sessions. Additionally, other erudite speakers addressed contemporary spiritual issues. Under the leadership of Mrs. Anita Basu, ASRP now conducts weekly, online study circles every Saturday morning, with participants from various regions. These sessions include readings, hymn chanting, religious songs, and discussions on Indian epics and scriptures.
A new monthly session was started on Ramayan Path, by revered Swami Vimokshananda ji Maharaj. The organization plans to launch an e-magazine featuring topics from these meetings, aiding many in their spiritual journeys in the name of ‘Akna Sarada Ramakrishna Pathachakra’.
